Within the program for Amazon Day, Suframa will
highlight initiatives supporting the preservation of the
environment and sustainability of the Amazon region – among
which, the encouragement of research and investments in the
therapeutic properties of the region’s flora. Traditional
knowledge of the use of the flora can reduce the costs of
research for the identification and synthetization of the basic
elements of drugs by over 50%. That means savings in costs and
time spent in searching for active principles for the production
of new pharmaceutical drugs. |
